Chat with a sponsor

A private chat opens with a sponsor the moment they sponsor you. There is nothing to buy or unlock.

How chat opens

• Chat opens when a sponsor pays for something for you.
• There is one conversation with each sponsor. Every gift from them is listed in the same thread.
• You cannot start a chat with someone who has not sponsored you.

Open a chat

1. Open Gifts.
2. Select the chat icon next to the sponsor.

Your Home page also shows chats waiting on your reply.

Send a message or a file

1. Type your message and select Send.
2. To send a picture or document, attach it to your message.

Attachments are removed from Gyftup 48 hours after sending. You can remove your own sooner from the message.

Some things are kept

Proof of purchase photos and records of delivered services cannot be deleted and stay visible to Gyftup's team.

Block someone or end a chat

1. Open the chat.
2. Select Block to stop that person contacting you. Select it again to unblock.
3. Select End chat to close the conversation.
4. Select Delete chat to remove the conversation from your list.

Keep yourself safe

• Do not share your address, phone number or other accounts.
• Do not move the conversation or the payment off Gyftup.
• Report anything that worries you through Support.
