Proof of purchase
Some wishlist gifts ask you to show a photo of what you bought. When one does, an Upload proof button appears on that gift.
When you will see it
Open Gifts. If a gift shows Upload proof, your sponsor is waiting to see the item. If there is no button, there is nothing to upload.
Upload a proof photo
- Open
Giftsand selectUpload proofon the gift. - Read your proof code on the page.
- Write that code by hand on a piece of paper.
- Put the paper next to the item.
- Take the photo. On a phone the button opens your camera.
- Tick the box to confirm the code is hand-written on paper in the photo.
- Tick the box if the photo shows a date and time stamp.

Submit proof.
The code is unique to that gift. It shows your sponsor the photo is real and recent.
Cover any passport number, full address or booking reference. Only the proof of purchase is needed.
The deadline
The page shows a date to upload by. Missing it pauses your wishlist. Your Home page then shows Wishlist paused until you upload the photo.
What your sponsor does next
Your sponsor sees the photo in their Escrow list. They can accept it or raise a dispute. If they dispute it, Gyftup's team reviews it.
If a sponsor asks for a refund
- Open
Gifts. - On that gift, select
Agree to refund, orI disagree (ask admin).
If you disagree, Gyftup's team looks at it and decides.
