Privacy for users

You are always in control. A sponsor can see the town you are in, never the venue, unless you choose otherwise.

Open your privacy settings

1. Open Home.
2. Select Privacy under Quick access.
3. Change what you want, then select Save privacy settings.

Sharing where I am

Setting	What it does
Show gifters which venue I am at	Off unless you turn it on. When on, any gifter and anyone opening your public profile can see the venue name.
When a gifter is in the same venue as me	Choose Keep me hidden or Let them see me. You are hidden until you choose.
Show my table and seat to a gifter in the same venue	Only ever shown to a gifter who has scanned a code inside that venue.

Gyftup asks you to confirm before it shows your venue, yourself or your seat.

Receiving gifts

Setting	What it does
Ask me first before a gifter can pay for a live item	On means you approve each request before anyone is charged.
Accept gifts from gifters who stay anonymous	Off means only named gifters can treat you.

What gifters can and cannot see

They can see

• Your display name, photo, wishlist and what you would like.
• That you are live, and your town, if you are listed.

They never see

• Your home address, phone number or exact location.
• Your venue, table or seat, unless you turned that on.

The venue's own staff see your table and seat so gifts reach you.

Download or delete your data

1. Open Privacy.
2. Under Your data, select Download my data (JSON) for a copy of everything held about you.
3. To leave, select Delete my account, enter your password and confirm.

Deleting is permanent

It removes your profile and personal data. Withdraw your wallet balance first.
