Delivery

Offer delivery by your own drivers to customers who order online. The delivery charge is added to their bill and paid to you in full.

Before you start

Switch on customers ordering for themselves. Delivery orders come through that link. See Counter orders and kiosk.

Switch delivery on

  1. Open Tables, then Settings.
  2. Go to Delivery.
  3. Tick We deliver.
  4. Enter your delivery charge.
  5. Enter the smallest order you will deliver.
  6. Type where you deliver. Customers see this line. For example, within 3 miles of the shop.
  7. Select Save delivery.

Your public page now shows a button to order for collection or delivery.

What the customer does

They order through your link, choose delivery, and give an address and a phone number. A delivery is always paid by card before it is made.

Handle a delivery order

  1. The order appears under Counter orders on Tables, marked delivery.
  2. The kitchen ticket says it is a delivery.
  3. Open the order. It shows Deliver to, with the address and a phone number you can tap to call.
  4. When the kitchen marks it ready, the order shows Ready to send.
  5. Select Out for delivery when the driver leaves.
  6. Select Delivered when the driver confirms.

The customer's page updates at each step.

What you are paid

The menu price and the whole delivery charge. There is no platform fee. The customer pays the card charge.

Good to know

  • The tablet in your shop never offers delivery.
  • Delivery orders never appear on the now serving screen.
  • The address and phone number are deleted from the order 30 days after it is completed.
You deliver it yourself

You are responsible for the delivery, for the area you say you cover, and for what happens to the order on the way.
