Tableside ordering (POS)
Your team takes orders on their own phones. Each item goes to the right station by itself, and the guest pays by scanning a code.
When in-venue ordering is enabled for your business, Tables appears in your menu. If it is missing, ask through Support.
Choose the venue you are serving
Open Tables and choose the venue by name. Its screen contains only that venue's areas and counter orders. New orders, preparation screens and checkout stay with the venue you selected.
Staff sign in with their own staff accounts to operate customer orders. A staff account is not a purchasing account. Staff need a separate user account for personal purchases.
Business overview shows orders across your business. Its counter-order form identifies the venue it uses. Choose a venue by name when you want to work separately.
Set it up once
Open Tables, then Business order settings. These controls manage shared preparation stations and business tip options. They do not become separate settings just because you opened them from a venue screen. Venue catalogues have their own menu administration.

Who signs in on the kitchen screen
A station screen is not a public link. Whoever opens it must be signed in for your venue.
| Sign in with | Should you? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A staff sign-in | Yes | It can serve orders and mark things ready. It cannot touch your payments, team or settings. |
| Your owner account | No | A tablet left signed in as you gives the whole kitchen your payments, team and settings. |
Any staff sign-in can open a station screen. It does not need to be a manager.
Set up a kitchen tablet
- Open
Staffand add a team member. Use the chef's own details, or one shared person called Kitchen with an email you control. - Copy their link and open it on the tablet.
- Select
Create my sign-in. Enter a name, the email and a password. - Confirm the email with the code that is sent to it.
- Open
Tables, thenKitchen, or that station's own screen. - Leave the tablet on that screen.
Repeat for each station that has its own tablet, or sign in to several tablets with the same staff sign-in.
What a kitchen sign-in can skip
| Step | Needed for the kitchen screen? |
|---|---|
| Create a sign-in, with a name, email and password | Yes |
| Confirm the email with a code | Yes |
| Accept your house rules | Only if you have written some |
| Set up payouts with Stripe | No. Skip it unless that person should be paid tips. |
| Add a photo and a line about them | No |
| Start a shift | No. A shift is for serving orders, not for the kitchen screen. |
Stripe is only for being paid tips. If the step is skipped, any tips earned are kept and can be collected later by finishing it. The link keeps working.
